Finally - we get a nice day, today, and I come down with a particularly rotton cold. Grand-daughter brought it in, then son got it but could function. Just alot of nose blowing. Now Poppa has it and I feel like I've been rode hard and put up wet. Anchy, my clothes hurt, can't get warm and can't stop coughing - wonderful. Don't let 'em fool ya. Vick's DayQuil is USELESS. NyQuil I swear by - kills the cough and I get off to sleep in about 15 minutes. Took a big slug of DayQuil about 8:30 this morning and coughed myself sick all day. Finally gave up and just took two extra strength Aspirin and started to feel better. Go figger!

Weather report........very nice today....sunny....warmer....looks like May.

I would presribe medical marijuana for that cold. You may not feel much better , but you will be so busy looking for your car keys , it won't bother you as much.

Wow........6-0 Flyers over Habs last night. Hard to call either series , but i would think it will be Blackhawks / Flyers in the Stanley Cup finals. Chicago will have a tough time getting there though.......Sharks have a bunch of guys that can put the biscuit in the net. Flyers may be a bit too physical for the Canadiens , but the Habs have proved everyone wrong so far.
Get well and good luck with that weather.

Sounds like a great plan, trying to think of a course close enough that I could try that. Did a similar thing inthe league I was in, but didn't hit that many. I figure that this old body only has so many swings per day in it.

It has to be the oil spill messing up your weather. The darker color absorbs more sunlight so there is none left over for your area 8-)

I know what you mean. My back has been in revolt lately.

They were saying something about some kind of El Nino thing , but i really can't blame it on Sergio Garcia.
Ever since they started with that El Nino stuff , it seems they use it to explain every weather anomaly.
Now ; they have evolved from that into a global warming theme. Rain.....global warming.......cold....global warming.......hot ......global warming......oil spill...global warming.......can't make a putt.....global warming.

Nice today......must be global warming ! :)

We did have an el nino winter here, warmer so less snow in the mountains. Really light showers here today, not even enough to water the grass but it is guessed to cool off to the mid 50's the rest of the week.

Tele, if Dr JJ's medical plan doesn't work, Zicam works for me. There was some problems early with the nose swabs, I only take the tablets. Here's to a quick recovery!

Habs and Flyers -

Habs have to remember what got them here. They're small and can't try to put the opposition through the boards. Remember to play smart and use their strengths of speed and agility. If there's no play coming out of your zone - that's what the glass is for. If there is, make sure the passes are short, firm and tape-to-tape. Then play the Yvan Cornoyier/Dave Keon style of "you can't hit what you can't catch." (I swear those two were coated in Lucas Oil in their day. Even when they got caught, they'de squirt out the other side with the puck.)

I wish them luck. They've got further than they should have or than anyone thought they would. They've got a tough row to hoe. Philly is big and mean. As a Torontonian I hate them - (you have to be born in Toronto or Montreal to undserstand............) But I do wish them well. Allez Bleu, Blanc et Rouge. (My mother, were she alive, would refuse to feed me for that but, afterall - I AM CANDIAN!)

Be good!
Chuck

Actually already on the mend! Yesterday was brutal. Finally said, "Hell with it" and took a huge swig of NyQuil and went to bed about 8:30. Slept straight through 'til 10:15 this morning and woke feeling a lot better. Still not fully up to snuff but much better.
Ever noticed the cold you get from a toddler is 5X worse than anything you pick up from colleagues or off the street?
Cheers
Chuck

Well, hips -

It's Thursday evening and the cold is nearly gone. Runny nose has cleared up and I no longer look like Clarabelle Clown. I still tend to start coughing a bit in the late afternoon but that's probably more my fault than the cold. You see, I'm a sinner (read that to mean smoker) and I guess it catches up with me later in the day. BUt definitely 100% better than Sunday afternoon and Monday.

Our weather sure took a turn for the worse. Up to 40 mph winds, a couple tornados around, rain, hail, thunder and possibly a record cold night tonight. Damn BP
