I give him a grade pf B, maybe B+.

1)I never thought I would ever hear him say that he thought he was entitled and above the rules to live the life he was living. Great job for admitting that. IMO

2)People wanted to hear more about a golf comeback. I'm sorry, the less he says the more I feel he is committed in fixing his marriage and problems. I'm sure he realizes that he could easily pick up a major or two this year (because of the venues) and close in on Jack's 18 majors. To me it speaks volumes that he is willing to put that on the back burner so that he can take care of way more important issues.

3)blaming only himself numerous times was good

4)He did seem sincere to me and he seem humbled.

5)Bringing up that he wants to show more respect to the game was also huge. NO one thought that was going to be said today or probably ever. TO me it seems that he is doing a lot of thinking about the person he had become and does realize that he has gone off course (wicked fade to the right) in his life.

6)I would have not wanted fake tears, but if he would have lost it, especially when hugging his Mom, that would have gotten the "A" from me.

Every person deserves a second chance in life, including Tiger. I hope the haters try being open minded and give the guy a chance to show us.
4)

I agree with all your points Kevin. Good post.
He has the opportunity to become a better man and a better golfer. (That's scary.)
I hope he comes back this season , but he has plenty of time to set records in golf.

It was tough to hear him say some of the things he did........ Doing so I think he showed everyone that he has been humbled and starting back from the bottom. I would give him the "A" because of his nature and what and how he said it. I too was glad to hear that he has listened to what has been said and will learn from it and have more respect for the game, and what was unspoken, not be above the game.

He is going back to treatment. I am glad he is getting help. I am one that believes strongly in learning from mistakes....as I did that a lot. I understand the therapy part, but realistically, that really only lays the groundwork, his actions will speak to whether he is determined to overcome this. I would give Faldo an "F" on his comments.....almost dismissing the need for treatment, stating he is the most mentally strong Golfer there is.........Again, what a dolt!

I hope he learns from all of this.....and I think he will.......and Elin really deserves a lot of credit to stand by him......a lot of women would have bolted..........

I did hear Faldo's comments and agree with you. What a bunch of hogwash. Faldo only wanted to hear when TIger was coming back to golf, but failing to realize that golf should be very low on TIger's to do list a this time. I don't know anyone mentally strong enough to not help with anything, we all need help eventually with something.
But, catch Steve Smith's comments on ESPN, what a douche bag.
ESPN also had the body language expert who is not buying what Tiger said. SHe claims his forhead told all or told her that he was not sincere.

Body language expert......well let me tell you what I saw....he was scared chitless! He was uncomfortable. He did not like the content of what he was saying............ After all he is a private person and the only change was when he IMO, showed a bit of anger about the following of his kids and family, and which of us would not be angry about that????

Again, what does any news agency gain out of kicking anyone when they are down? All they do for sure is lose one viewer........me!

Kudos for your opening post, Kevin. Based on my post in the other thread, it seems we're both on the same page. He's a champion who let his fame lead him astray. The media storm will feed on itself but the truth will lie in how he behaves going forward. He got a pile driver wake-up call.....let's see what he does with it. My money says; a lot!
I really hope he finds his way back, I really do - to his life with his family and to golf. They both need him.

The glass is half-full............
Cheers
Chuck

Don't EVEN start with that "half-full" stuff. :P He "emptied" half his glass and now he will have to "nurse" the rest. ( OOPS...we better not talk about nurses around Tiger.) ;)

Good luck to the family . I thought he did a decent job with a really strange type of thing to handle. I don't think he is real comfortable in front of the camera at times. That's something i , actually , like about Tiger.

Most folks , outside the world of golf , are saying we should not have any interest in his personal life. They say "everybody else is doing it" , so why should we hold Tiger to any standard of behavior. They say Golf is no different than any other sport. Rich athletes with loose morals and no respect for anything but their own amusement. Is that true of professional golf ?

Are all the married guys with small children on the PGA Tour trying to bed every girl in town ? (...and out of town.) Should the best golfer in the world be held to a higher moral standard because we have an outdated sense of "tradition" in a game......golf ? Do you have several friends who are married with kids and sleep with every available girl in town ? If so ; do you have more...or less respect for guys like that ? Why do we even care about this subject ? It's between Tiger and Elin....is it not ?

Is the glass half-full....or half-empty ? :)

Will i ever get finished with this post ?

Saw that many of his "harem" want an apology too. they figure their "reputations" have been tarnished and one is claiming she is pregnant by him.

If she's carrying Woody's kid ; she should make sure she puts a golf club in his/ her hands as soon as possible........and keep him/her away from Leadbetter.
