Report: Elin divorcing Tiger GolfChannel.com Team Posted 12/17/2009, 12:50 PM EST
Elin Nordegren Woods is divorcing husband Tiger, ABCNews.com is reporting.
According to a "source close to Woods' wife," a "divorce is 100 percent going to happen."
Other reports have Nordegren spending the holidays in Sweden with her two children and the rest of her family, not inlcuding her husband.
Woods, who was recently named Associated Press athlete of the decade, has been embroiled in controversy over the last two weeks amid allegations and an admission of infidelity.

Been hearing the same story up here, too. The tabs (for whatever that's worth) have been reporting moving vans removing furniture from the Isleworth mansion. People has reported two separate sources as saying Elin's done with him and there never was a chance he could make it up. People is not the greatest source either but, as Devil Ball said, they're part of the group that includes SI, Golf Magazine etc., so they have a reputation to at least try to be truthful. From where I sit, it looks like Elin decided to take the 5 mil she got last week and forget about staying around for another 2 years to get the other 55. And, I can't blame her. Putting myself in her shoes, I can't begin to imagine living in the same house with a spouse who cheated, especially to the point he seems to have admitted. Five million, up front, is enough for anybody to live well for the rest of their lives. They also say she's still actively renegotiating the prenup - my bet is for a real juicy child support stipend. Bottom line - I think we'll see Tiger back on tour sooner than later. If she really is clearing out what's keeping him out to "work on being a better husband, father and person"? One final note - heard a news quote in the car yesterday that said Tiger's dad had cheated on Tida and Tiger found out. They said he was so devastated he actually took on his dad physically, but lost - (Hello?! Earl was Green Beret!!) What I heard and my 2c Chuck

I keep hearing that she will not file until after the new year and that she will file in California where they do have a home. California has a 50/50 split law. IDK, I'm hearing so many things. But yeah, he should be on the course sooner than expected, real soon. IMO

The kids will be well taken care of in any settlement that comes down. they are to young now to realize what has happened but with that last name, there will always be a stigma attached. There was a pre nup so would Claifornia las spercede that?

I think you nailed it, Hips. Regardless of whether the marriage was savable from the get-go doesn't matter. I really think Tiger has enough smarts, if not genuine shame, to make sure the kids are looked after in perpetuity. And - I hope he has the humility to explain to them, when they're old enough to understand, just why he and their mom aren't together anymore. Better he owns up and tells them, up front, "I did a bad thing" than let her fill their heads with the vitriol of a woman scorned. JMHO Chuck

Good points made by all,,,, I agree Chuck the kids need to be told and they will be taken care of. As Tom stated,,, "Who He Is",,,, well that gonna be something for them.

While his wife plots a divorce, and a secret love child has now emerged, Tiger Woods has taken to playing golf alone at night to ease his mind, say reports. Woods, who was chosen PGA Tour Player of Year by his peers yesterday, has reportedly been sneaking out of his Florida mansion in the cover of darkness to drive balls at a nearby golf course. "He goes after dark so he can't be seen. For him, what's more therapeutic than hitting golf balls, the thing he's best at in the whole world?" a source told US Weekly.

Now he's really in trouble:
Now even his biggest female supporter has turned on him. Tiger Woods' mom -- often seen on the golf course cheering him on -- is reportedly "furious" with her philandering son. Kutilda Woods is "hurt, angry and disappointed in Tiger [and] wants to know how he could do this to his family," a family friend told People.com. His father, the late Earl Woods, reportedly cheated on Kutilda when Tiger was a teen. She lives in California but spends weeks at a time with her grandkids at Tiger's mansion in Windermere, Fla.

I have a hard time feeling sorry for kids who will have millions of dollars in their bank accounts. I left home with 32.00 dollars in my pocket and a "thumb" for transportation. They will get over it. There are kids living in barely renovated CHICKEN COOPS who will follow their mother into the pickle fields , where they really WILL have a tough ROW to hoe. Woody's kids have it made. They won't be operating a hoe in a pickle patch anytime soon. ( I actually did this work for part of a summer and saw some of these kids.) Seven days a week. Gather round the truck and get payed on Friday. My "Steinbeck" period .....i graduated to driving a swather and tractor...........bath every saturday night...whether i needed it or not.......boy , did i need it ! Brought in the Fall harvest ...ended up hauling sugarbeets in a side dumper..... . Lived in a trailer with no power or water.........did not eat well.......didn't have too many bimbos hangin round. Don't feel sorry for Woody's kids ..............don't feel sorry for Woody.
