Nice "old school" kind of thing . The fellows should make a good show of it in such finery as that. Martinis at 5:30 sharp. All the wives will be compelled to change their names to Vivien ....or Sandra.
Ricky will look good in that stuff.......maybe he'll accent it by wearing his hat sideways. Good thing Daly is not on the team. I think he HAS to wear those nasty trou he wears now.
Seriously......i kind of like it. I like to dress nice on the course. HEY.........anybody get a look at Pavin's wife.........YOWSER !!!! No wonder he doesn't hit it very long. I would be worn out too !

Way too preppy for my taste, but I wouldn't refuse to be on the team because of them. And at least it's better than the 'Methodist pimp' look that Fowler seems to favor.

Don't remember seeing Pavin's wife at the events here, he never came to the transportation table. A couple weeks ago I saw a guy at a local course with Daly pants on...guess he needed to be noticed for something there Only golf on the ship was a chipping contest with pgb's over the pool. I sucked, like the others in our party

Yeah...a bit preppy for sure...by golly. I think they could have gone in an entirely different direction this time around , just to throw the Euros a curve before the matches even begin. Go with the oil field worker look.......Dirty jeans , tight tee-shirt with a pocket for the ubiquitous skoal can stuffed in it , and a CAT hat ...with the proper amount of crude oil stains to lend it some character. A scruffy beard and the frequent use of the F word rounds this "look " out ...perfectly. The 70's " jock " look would be another timeless classic. Those short and tight little blue coaching shorts , set off by some striped tube socks and a brightly colored striped "sale rack" shirt , topped off by one of those really stiff hats that stand up high on your head....like Kenny Perry used to wear. This look would definitely throw the other side off their games just enough to take the Cup. The sloppy forty something guy who dresses like his 15 year old...... look......might be the way to go. Those trou that hang down to about 4 inches above the ankle.....to look even dumpier than they already are.....a giant tee shirt with something entirely illegible on it......and one of those "Ricky hats"......with a brim that a guy could bivouac under. ALL good looks , that are sure to pump some needed gusto into the matches.

I sucked, like the others in our party He must be hiding her. Bad pants were all the rage with some of the mid to late 80's college guys i used to hang with at the crags. It can be fun to look bad.......i just might go with a pair of those Daly pants to put a little pizazz....(does anybody use the word pizazz (sp ?) ..anymore ??? ) in my game. You have to be really really drunk to excel at those chipping contests. It's obvious you do not have the proper dedication it takes to reach those heights.

I felt lucky that I didn't end up in the pool, we had to stand on a couple foot wide deck area to chip. Did see a picture of Pavin's wife somewhere this week, very young for him

Played last evening........hitting the ball really well , but i'm in a putting slump. After playing really well on the front , but missing every birdie putt by the slimmest of margins , i came down to earth on the back , where i missed every PAR putt ! Made a nice birdie on 16 and then missed par putts on 17 and 18 for an 80. I hate to shoot 80 !!!!!! I was hitting the ball well enough to shoot 72 .....and ended up not even breaking flooking 80 ! ( Shot a nasty 87 last week ......much the same problems with two or three bad holes thrown in for good measure.) It is nice to be hitting the ball well though............ i feel like i have a low round in me if i can just get the ball to go in that 4 1/4 inch hole. Getting around to some courses i haven't played in a few years. Golf is fun when you are flying the ball decently. Any of you guys playing golf ? You know....that game we are supposed to have in common. Where is that Canadian guitar guy ? How bout that guy from New Mexico ? There was that dirt biker from New Jersey who lives in the equivalent of golf hell ....every course over a hundred bucks to play in his area. Must have found a DB where folks actually have something to say every so often................Ryder Cup? How bout that Furyk ? 11, 350 , 000 smackers for Jimbo. Politics ??? What happened to that Bradley experiment ? ( Who needs THAT prick.) How bout The Obama ? Nice job so far.....huh ? I know....it's all Bush's fault. Anybody been out shopping in those big box stores lately ? There is nobody working there ! Except ; of course , Lupe.... that hispanic lady who can only point and frown when you have any kind of question other than ...where is the restroom ?

Will probably play tomorrow at a place called The Home Course. It was the alternate course for the US Am and one other big outing here this summer. Hope the fog clears earlier than it did today. Would hate to hit the ball so far that I couldn't find it
