Ok, we don't have Tiger. Some may look at this as a good thing, but I think it hurts this team big time.
I look at the Top 8 in Ryder cup points and the possible alternates and it just does not impress me one bit.

His singles record is good, and it will be difficult to replace those points. I don't think it will be because of Tiger's absence, but it does not look good for a win. Hopefully, it at least won't be a one-sided rout.

Tiger will be missed for sure. But looking at the team I agree, doesnt seem to me much strength is there. I am wondering if they have the endurance to make it the whole way !!!

I'm thinking we may just do ok this time. Tiger not being there definitely makes us the underdog. Yeah, his singles record is impressive but maybe they can play like a "team" this time.

I'm thinking being the underdog may be a very good thing for us. I hope!
I know Tiger has no intention of going to the Ryder Cup because he does not want the attention shifted away from the guys on this team. Good or bad decision? Would a cheerleading Tiger maybe be a real good thing?

That's a good question and one that will be debated heartily I'm sure.
I think he needs to do what he thinks is right. And in this case it's staying away. I can see both the positive and negative aspects of him being there.

Your 100% correct on that, it will be debated for a very long time.
I agree there is a positive and negative side to Tiger not being there but IMO the positive will be "The Attention". Our team will need all the support they can get.

I look at the ?World Championships last fall. Noone gave the rookies a chance to do anything and they represented us well. It does scare me though, when I look at a big tournament leaderboard and don't see many of ours there.
