Monday's qualifying round for the Women's US Open was not good for Wie or Gulbis. Wie missed by 1 stroke and Gulbis 2 strokes after 36 holes of golf. Wie actually bogies 6 of her last 9 holes. Ouch!!!

That will not help the LPGA and it's ratings. They need both of them there. IMO

The thing I do find of concern is that this is another imortant round were Michelle blows it on the back nine. We've seen it since she was 14 or 15. If it was not the Jr. Publc iinx (I'm not sure) were she should could have gotten a Masters invite but imploded on the back nine. If it was not the few times she was flirting with the cutline at a PGA tour event (sony, John Deere)were she imploded on the back nine.
I think the debate is over !!! For all the young ones out there, you need to stay an amateur and learn to win (the tiger route). The "Wie way" was the wrong way. She will be limited in her growth with her game until she wins a tourney or two, if and when that happens. If she can somehow not meltdown and win a tourney, then I think all of that potential we saw at such a young age can break through. Then and only then she may become a force to be reckon with on the LPGA.
