Gary

I realize she is just a young girl and i could not agree more that she will win some more on the LPGA. The way i remember most of the "doubters" were reacting to her playing in men's tournaments. I don't think there were many saying she would not eventually win on the LPGA , although there were probably a few.

I look for Wie to win several major women's tournaments and a bunch of regular events before she is done. She has that long game and should be able to play better golf around the green as she matures. She is really needed by the women's circuit ,.

Creamer played well ..........nice to see some American gals at the top of the board. Congrats to Michelle.

I agree Beck, I'm tired of trying to pronounce those Korean names! LOL

Not hard to pronounce , but i have a hard time telling the difference between most of them. Other than the chubby one with the glasses , they seem to be interchangeable. One or two gets hot for a few months and then another one gets hot and takes over for the one or two that were just starting to register in my addled brain. There seems like there is a never ending army of Korean girls ready to play well for a year or two and then pass the golf baton to a different one. I lose interest when the leaderboard is full .....Sum Yung Stuf .......Shee Yung Too.......and the hundred and fifty "KIMS" that come and go like robots.......FER CHRISSAKE !!!!!!!

I am a rotten racist bastard........... :)

i agree with ya Hips. Hopefully this will open the flood gates for her with all that talent she has. That was a hell of a bunker shot on 18 to seal the deal. I wonder if her parents are still smothering her to death or they have hopefually backed off from her. I truly beleive they were a lot of her problems by being so over bearing to her.Just my opinion for whats its worth. :D :D

"That was a hell of a bunker shot on 18 to seal the deal."

One of the best bunker shots I have watched being played, especially with the pressure of the moment being on her to hit that shot. :D

I said in a post earlier this year, during the Jamie Farr, that she was one of the best bunker players I have ever seen...Every shot she hits out of the bunkers is a very good one, usually very close to the pin.She has her short game down, and it is pretty...I wish I had the bunker skills she has. :)

And I myself feel that her parents will let off a bit...She has found her way now,and there is no longer any need to nurture her out there. She has really grown up this past year, and it has shown in her play.

Michelle Wie's focus was challenged during her hour-long practice Tuesday after her arrival for the LPGA Tour championship. That's because so many players kept stopping by to offer congratulations at The Houstonian Golf & Country Club. Wie's breakthrough victory Sunday at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational in Mexico was all the buzz at the season-ending event. Her swing coach, David Leadbetter, relished the interruptions because he remembers not so long ago when Wie wasn't embraced upon arriving for LPGA events.

It was a very nice and well deserved victory, which should be the first of many. Tiger was also 20 when he won his first PGA event. We sometimes forget how young she is because we have constantly heard her name for the last 7-8 years. I hope she has found her way and we see the dominance that has been expected for so long.

Looks like a battle zone out there today as Wie has a bad wheel. They won't say how she hurt the ankle. Creamer has a good size bandage on her knee.
