Wie may win her first time today or atleast we may have an American win. I'm rooting for Michelle to get this monkey off of her back. If not Michelle, then Paula.

SPOILER ALERT:...Wie did win this tournament. But my computer is so slow that this message might be posted after it has already ended(Which in fact it has, because I watched it through LPGA.com live scoreboard, and it ended about a half hour ago, with Wie the victor. Congratulations to Michelle for her first victory. May those GCDB doubters R.I.P...Hopefully none of them own any guns.

i agree with ya Hips. Hopefully this will open the flood gates for her with all that talent she has. That was a hell of a bunker shot on 18 to seal the deal. I wonder if her parents are still smothering her to death or they have hopefually backed off from her. I truly beleive they were a lot of her problems by being so over bearing to her.Just my opinion for whats its worth. Gary

I expect we will see many wins from Wie in the coming years. It was a nice win , but certainly does not confirm the extreme hype she received. She has a lot more winning to do to confirm that kind of hype. She has the talent to win U.S. Opens if she rolls her ball well. Kerr was awful coming down the stretch. She is not good under pressure......like most of us. Creamer played well ..........nice to see some American gals at the top of the board. Congrats to Michelle.

Maybe it was the Solheim cup...when parents were banned...that lead to her break through. Or maybe everything is going right this year for Stanford U people

You got to remember JJ she is only 20 years old. Your right it was extreme hype. Michelle trying to play on the PGA tour was ridiculous to start with. I again I go back to her parents being way to protective of her. I feel she didnt have a chance to be successful because of them. But we know this the first of many wins for her.
