I played twice this week, after about a two week layoff. The first day was played at a course we usually play, very familiar, not a real tough layout, but fairly tight. Bottom line, I played like I had never held a club in my hands before in my life. Driver really was not working, going both ways, irons were not solid, had no touch in chipping, thankfully I was able to putt decently. It was a tough day, but got through the round, hit some good shots, but they were few and far between. Hate to say it but I even sssssssshhanked a couple . Even my buddy was shocked at how I played and I could tell, he started to feel bad for me.

We played the very next day, yesterday, and it was indeed a very different day. I actually beat my best score ever, by one stroke. The same buddy played with me and kept asking me what didn't "this guy" show up the first day?? This was a fun day, everything just seemed to flow together. Driver was solid, only missed two fairways, Irons were good, not great, but solid. Chipping was excellent as I only had 31 putts, so I was close on a lot of hole. We played a different course, one that we had not played that much this year, but I do like the course. Man, I have to admit, on the first tee, I was scared that the same guy would show up and it would be another long day, but I guess, at least for me, you really never know just who is going to show up.

Glad ya got to play !!!! I couldn't agree more on the "Really Never Know Who I Going To Show Up" part !!! That happens to all of us !!!!!

Yeah, that's why, that I picked for my headcover for my driver, the Scarecrow, which is also the photo I use. It comes from a Disney production from the 60's, the Scarecrow of Romney Marsh. He was a scary charactor that really was a good guy, which fits my driver. Almost surprised no one has asked about it.

Had to get my wife and daughter to hand make it for me, and I get comments about it a lot, but I like it.

I be leary of the double cross. Never sure on who is going to be there. I guess when it comes to that (money on the line) other than a buck or two, I am a bit of a locksmith. I want a dead lock!
